How to quit amphetamines
using the Ephedra method

Do you, or someone you now, need help quitting speed? The best way I know of is called the Ephedra method. I've seen it help more than one "hopeless case" to kick the habit.

The idea behind this method is to use ephedra instead of speed as a methadone-type method to ease the withdrawal. It makes quitting much easier.

Recently the law regarding ephedra has changed in many countries. If it is still legal where you live and you want to try this method, I would recommend buying these Ephedra supercaps. Or, if you live in the US, try the Supplements to go-site (do a search top left for "Super Cap ephedra").

If you live where you can't get hold of ephedra try to quit using L-tyrosine (not as effective as using ephedra but a lot better than quitting cold turkey).

NB: People respond to ephedra in different ways and the strength of different brands varies. The recommended dosage below may have to be adjusted and is only provided as an example on what works for some people. Always start with a low dosage for safety's sake.

My favourite headshop:

(they even got legal shroom-boxes!)

Day 1 and 2

* Take two caps in the morning.
* Take two caps around 2 pm.
* Take two caps in the early evening.

You also really ought to get some exercise. I suggest that you take a walk for 10-15 minutes three times a day.

It is also important that you eat even if you are not very hungry. And I strongly suggest that you take one or two multivitamin pills each day. Use the ones who also include minerals.

Exercising and eating right will improve your mood and make quitting easier.

NB: If your ephedra caps don't contain any caffeine and if you find the effect they have on you to weak, then you can always take them together with one or two cups of strong coffee. Caffeine almost doubles the effect of the ephedrine.

Day 3 and 4

* Take two caps in the morning.
* Take one cap around 2 pm.
* Take two caps in the early evening.

Keep exercising and eating multivitamins.

Day 5 and 6

* Take two caps in the morning.
* Take one cap around 2 pm.
* Take one cap in the early evening.

Keep exercising and eating multivitamins.

Day 7 and 8

* Take one cap in the morning.
* Take one cap around 2 pm.
* Take one cap in the early evening.

Keep exercising and eating multivitamins.

Day 9 and 10

* Take one cap in the morning.
* Take 1-3 cups of coffee around 2 pm.
* Take one cap in the early evening.

Keep exercising and eating multivitamins.

Day 11 and 12

* Take one cap in the morning.
* Take 1-3 cups of coffee around 2 pm.
* Take 1-3 cups of coffee in the early evening.

Keep exercising and eating multivitamins.

After day 12

Now the idea is that you will be all right from here on by just drinking coffee. But don't quit the exercise or vitamins for another couple of weeks.

The above schedule will definitely help you with the physical withdrawal. But what about the mental cravings and depression? You probably should get some dopamine precursors that will ease the depression significantly but you may also need the advice of an expert. If everybody who tried to quit a drug read a book on the subject there would be a lot more success stories. Got no money? Try the library.

And finally, here follows some useful advice on quitting any drug.

Good luck!
