But there must be some othe rbasic driver whatever safe mode was using that allowed for higher resolutions. I’ll try my old NVidia card later today if I don’t find any better solutions.

Please let us know if you figure it out. I’ve removed the drivers completely and attempted reinstallation many times with no success. Backup and reinstall freshly. ATI can bite the whitest portion of my posterior.
